  Se utilizaron dos especies de peces autóctonos Astyanax asuncionensis y Cyphocharax spilotus para el aprovechamiento de la biomasa y materia orgánica residual proveniente del tratamiento microbiano aeróbico de los efluentes de la industria citrícola. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que las tasas específica de crecimiento (Gp %) varían con un rango de -2,640% a 2,018% para A. asuncionensis y de -0,287% a 0,918% para C. spilotus observándose que el afluente tratado es aprovechado satisfactoriamente como alimento por los peces.



Two species of autochthonous fish were used - Astyanax asuncionensis and Cyphocharax spilotus - for the utilization of the biomass and residual organic matter originating from the aerobic microbial wasterwater treatment of the citrus industry. The results show that the specific growth rates (Gp %) vary within a range of -2.649% to 2.018% for A. asuncionensis, and from -0.287% to 0.918% for C. spilotus, observing that treated wasterwater is used satisfactorily as food by the fish.
